We are thrilled to announce that Peter Triantos' striking 'Untitled #118' painting has been returned by the Toronto Metropolitan Police! The fantastic piece was inspired by Basquiat's design for an album for his friend's punk band 'The Offs', in exchange for $400, which he needed to pay his mother's rent. Limited edition screen prints of the original artwork sold at Sotheby’s for more than $300,000 in 2011. John Brower, of Venice Modern Art, who owns the entire inventory and rights to the record cover art by Basquiat, invited Peter to 'The Brilliance of Basquiat' show, held at the Thompson Hotel, Toronto, in April 2019, which Peter created breathtaking pieces for.
